Abhishek Bachchan turns 40 today and social media has been buzzing with congratulatory messages for the actor.

His colleagues and fans have been sending their love to Bachchan Jr with unique messages, throwback photos and lots of hashtags.

Abhishek’s childhood bestie Karan Johar uploaded a photo on social media, of the actor being kissed by him and sister Shweta Bachchan, to mark the day.

Junior Bachchan’s  Delhi 6 co-star, Sonam Kapoor, shared a still from the movie with the message: “Happy Birthday @Juniorbachchan! #Delhi6 was special, and so are you!”

Abhishek’s co-star in many films, Bipasha Basu, wished him with a throwback picture of her and hubby Karan Singh Grover with Abhishek.

Pop singer Sophie Choudhry also shared a throwback party picture and wrote: Wishing the coolest, wittiest, bestest @juniobachchan a very happy b’day! You’ll always be one of my faves!(sic).


Rishi Kapoor too sent his blessings to the star on his birthday with the message: ‘Happiest Birthday’ dear AB Jr. Much love and blessings!


Sonu Sood who has worked with Abhishek in multiple projects like Yuva and Happy New Year posted: Happy Birthday my brother. There is no one like you. Love you @juniorbachchan.


Shilpa Shetty Kundra tagged the actor with an adorable term ‘Bhaiyyu’ in her tweet.

Genelia Deshmukh also posted a short and sweet message for the star: “Happy Birthday @juniorbachchan..my you have a great day and a fabulous year ahead.”

Filmmaker Rohan Sippy, who has cast Abhishek in films like Kuch Naa Kaho, Bluffmaster, and Dum Maaro Dum also wished the star on twitter.

Along with actors and directors, the famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra too sent his wishes with an image of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.
